Coriander Seeds

Coriander Plant The small round seeds, approximately 1/8 inch in diameter, range from white-yellowish brown to green and have alternating stright and wavy ridges running vertically.

Ground Coriander Seeds Coriander Seed, native to the Mediterranean, has been used since prehistoric times. Seeds have been found in Egyptian tombs of 960 BC. Persia grew coriander 3000 years ago. It also added fragrance to the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

Coriander powder is mild and delicately fragrant. It has varied uses. From Curriy recipes to pickle spices. As a flavoring for buns, pastries, cookies and cakes, it is delightful backing spice.
